This was a magazine ad design for a premium cigar catering company CF Dominicana. The idea was for a Cuban design that features classic, wooden cigar rolling tables, and to illustrate the type of upscale parties where a niche service like this shines.
Ruben is a long-time repeat client but this time around, the project was for a friend of his.
C.F. Dominicana is a premium cigar company that custom makes hand-rolled cigars on site. It’s an upscale venture so a new classier look was needed for the advertisements.
One issue that arose is that the images and logo that was provided were sub-par in quality, so I needed to spin straw into gold, as it were.
Two versions were created, a full-page ad and a half-page ad. I had to work within the limitations of their current images and branding so that it would keep the same aesthetic of the rest of their content. The project was successful, and I went on to do additional graphic design services for him.
