This is a magazine ad layout for a soccer apparel company. Their focus is on jerseys for teams and individuals.
All uniforms designs come in multiple color options, so was very important to make the magazine ad concise and full of necessary information: design name, price, color options. Notice the soccer net-themed background for the ad. It just looks cool and I wanted you to see it.
I was tasked with taking an existing domain and creating an eCommerce website for business.
I modified the the theme and hand-coded some new features into it.
I also created a custom database using PHP and MySQL so that he had a backend user interface and could manage products.
Being this was designed to sell jerseys to teams, I employed some UX and designed input methods where customers can input names with their jersey numbers and have it all work seamlessly!
Originally, Nguyen sought me out to make his website up-to-date by adding eCommerce functionality to it. I designed custom features from scratch because this was not a CMS (e.g. WordPress, Wix, Shopify) and required old-school, hand-coded work!
The entire website facelift was a success complete with back-end admin tools, front end dynamic content, and a complete shopping cart checkout system.
With that done, Nguyen asked if I did any graphic design – of course I do graphic design!
The second project was to create designs for magazine ads in a soccer publication. The ads would need to be concise, easy to read, and convert sales through visual appeal! I think it did just that:
