One of my more regal logo designs, this was created for an author who needed a logo for his trilogy of books. The books themselves deal with a post-apocalyptic narrative brought on by holy wars based on differences in religion, giving rise to demonic forces in the aftermath. These symbols can bee seen in the logo by sharp, blade-like text, and the obvious spade tail.
Alahn Reeves is a book author and a longtime client of mine. I have done each of his book covers in his series Reign, and this is the main book logo – the main thread from book cover to book cover.
The logo reflects a bit of the elements that appear in the story. It deals with religions and man vs the forces of evil. You can see this imagery in the regal text, sharp points, and the spaded tail at the end of the letter R.
The book cover design changes from dark to light and book to book. Starting with Reign: of Darkness, moving to Reign of Shadows, and finally to Reign of Light.
